As some of you may or may not know, I trained in on-camera puppetry with this fantastic guy named Michael Earl. In the early 1980's, you knew him as Mr. Snuffleupagus, Forgetful Jones, and Slimey.
Last year, he was diagnosed with cancer. He does not have health insurance. Unfortunately, life isn't a movie and he can't start cooking crystal meth in an RV to pay the bills, so a bunch of folks have gotten together to do what little we can to help him.
On Saturday, January 19th at 8PM at iO West, I will be taking the stage with twenty other puppeteers to help raise money for Michael. (Please note this show is rated PG-13... possibly R for language and inappropriate puppet shenanigans)
Tickets are $10 cash at the door, but if you can contribute more to help Michael, well... it's why we are all showing up.
